Next to the seafront, on Whitby’s popular West Cliff, the Queensland guesthouse offers good quality guest accommodation, in en suite, recently refurbished rooms. In the heart of Whitby, the Queensland is close to all of the town’s local attractions and amenities. The Spa Theatre, the Royal Gardens, the beaches and Whitby Pavilion are all within walking distance and there is plenty to see and do nearby, with the children’s paddling pool, the crazy golf course, the tennis courts and the town’s shops also all within easy reach. There is a pitch and putt course, a boating lake and the 18-hole golf course nearby. All of the comfortable rooms are available at great values rates. Each room has a TV and an en suite bathroom and all of the rooms have been recently refurbished.

As you enter Whitby follow signs for the town centre and you will go down a steep hill which is Chubb Road, at the bottom of this hill turn second left (omitting the small 1st left) to climb up the hill on the other side of the roundabout. Carry on up the hill to the next mini roundabout and take the second exit, Harrison’s garage should now be on your left hand side. Take your first right into Crescent Avenue and carry on down the road until you can see the sea and we are the blue and white building close to the bottom of the road on the right hand side.

This contemporary accommodation in the heart of Whitby has a quiet location close to the beach, shops, restaurants and the harbour. The properties are located close to the main office on Silver Street. Each is in a quiet location. The leisure facilities are adjacent to our offices and can be booked for private use for a small fee. Leisure facilities include a private heated pool, a giant Scalextric track, a sauna and a gym. Parking is available on request at an additional cost.

Situated right on the cliff top with beautiful views of Whitby and the bay, you can simply cross the road and walk straight down onto the beach for fresh sea air and brisk walks. The Wheeldale is close to the Spa Theatre and all that Whitby has to offer, with the harbour and town only minutes' walk away. The town centre has numerous excellent restaurants and a selection of facilities for tourists. With the bed and breakfast as your comfortable base, you can explore Whitby and all of its charms or enjoy the moors in all of their natural glory and picturesque beauty. Parking is available free of charge for guests’ use during their stay. The forecourt can accommodate up to 8 cars, though if the bed and breakfast is very busy, your car may be blocked in on the forecourt. Guests can also park on the seafront, if space is available. If you do not need to move your car, the Wheeldale can also offer extra secure parking by prior arrangement, at the side of the property. There is also a lock-up garage for the storage of motor cycles. Complimentary wireless internet access is available in the Seaview cafe. For more private access (and a nominal additional cost) you can use the house’s fast wireless broadband hotspot to connect via your own laptop in the comfort and privacy of your own room. A charming small (non smoking) hotel, it assures a friendly personal service to all its guests. The Waverley is situated on Whitby's famous West Cliff and is thus very conveniently positioned for the Promenade, beach, harbour and shops. Children over the age of 5 years are welcome and enjoy specially reduced rates if sharing a room with parents. Unfortunately, due to the quiet nature of the hotel, pets and children under the age of five are not allowed to stay at The Waveley. There are 3 parking spaces at the back of the hotel (please enquire for availability stating the make and model of the car) or, alternatively, 'on street' parking is allowed on Crescent avenue.
