All 60 bedrooms at the Patterdale offer comfortable double or twin beds, a private en suite with a bath and shower, complimentary guest toiletries, a colour TV, tea/coffee making facilities and a direct dial telephone. Those rooms situated on the front of the hotel have extended views down the valley and of the surrounding fells. Lakeland rooms are subject to availability and include a supplement payable locally. There is a lift to all floors and limited ground floor rooms available on request.

In true Lakeland style, Patterdale village is made up of only a handful of cottages, The White Lion pub, The Patterdale Hotel, a post office, village school, fire station and the church. Nestled between 2 mountain ranges, Patterdale and its surrounding area offers some of the world's most scenic walks and trails with Keswick, Ambleside and Penrith, all within 15 miles. Close by is the village of Glenridding from where the Ullswater steamer boat offers daily sailings to Howtown and Pooley Bridge. Other local amenities include water sports and sailing schools, lakeside walks, pony treks and climbing schools. For families, a variety of visitor attractions are within a short drive.

Leave the m6 junction 40 for Penrith, then take the a66 westbound, signposted Keswick. At the roundabout, take the first exit (a592) for Ullswater and Watermillock. Continue along this road, turning right when you reach the T-junction. You will past though the village of Glenridding. The village of Patterdale and hotel itself, is a short drive out of Glenridding.

Credit cards must be presented at the hotel on arrival for full payment. Double and twin bed rooms are not suitable to accommodate children. Please note that there is a 2-night minimum stay at weekends. The hotel does not accommodate single sex parties.
