In January 2000 it was awarded a Michelin Star to add to the 4 RAC Dining Awards and AA 5 Red Stars and 4 Rosettes awarded in 1999. The nearest train station, only 4 miles away, is Newbury, and there are direct routes by rail to London Paddington. From the M4 Eastbound Leave the M4 at junction 14, take the first left and briefly join the A338 towards Oxford, Turn right onto the B4000 and pass over the M4 following signs to Newbury. Continue through the village of Wickham, and continue through Stockcross. The Vineyard is located 500 metres out of Stockcross on the left-hand side. ------------------------------------------------------------- From the A34 Oxford Pass straight under the M4 and follow the signs for Newbury/Southampton/Winchester. As you approach Newbury go into the left hand lane and follow signs for Reading/Thatcham A4 - keep straight on until you come to first major roundabout (Garden Centre in front of you) the Hotel is signposted on brown tourist signs - take the second exit and follow road for approximately 1 1/2 miles - Hotel is second on left. From M3 - Follow signs for Newbury A339. As you approach Newbury, come through 3 roundabouts following signs for Reading A4. At the first mini roundabout go straight over and at the second mini roundabout take the second exit.
