From M5: exit on Junction 11a and follow signs for Cirencester a417. At the roundabout follow the a436 to Oxford sign. At the T-junction, turn left on to the a435 to Cheltenham. The hotel is situated at the bottom of the hill on the left just past the Lilleybrook Golf Course. From M40: exit the M40 at Junction 8 onto the A40 to Cheltenham. Before reaching Andoversford, follow signs for Gloucester A436 (A417) on the left. After approx 5 miles you will reach the end of the road and a staggered crossroads. Turn right and down the steep hill. The hotel is situated at the bottom of the hill on the left just past Lilleybrook Golf Club. From M4: exit the M4 at Junction 15 onto the A419 to Cirencester. At Cirencester take the A417 sign posted Cheltenham. At the roundabout take the second exit direction 'Stow-on-the-wold' (ignore immediate left turn to Cheltenham). After several miles turn left onto the A435 to Cheltenham. The hotel is at the bottom of the hill on the left past the Lilleybrook Golf Club.

It was converted to a hotel in the 1980s. It is set in beautiful gardens, where drinks may be enjoyed on summer evenings. The hotel is situated on the a46 Shurdington Road, which is the extension of Bath Road. From Oxford on the a40, look for the sign of the a46 Stroud & Shurdington. At the roundabout in Bath Road, take the right hand road at the Norwood Arms Pub. The hotel is 200 yards on the left after the pub, before the traffic lights. From the m5, take exit 11 and follow signs to Cheltenham. At the first roundabout (Golden Valley) exit roundabout at 2 o'clock towards Shurdington. Go over several little roundabouts, always following the signs to Shurdington. Ignore all signs for Cheltenham. Eventually on a straight road, you will go past Morrisons supermarket on your left. On the next T- junction/roundabout follow the sign to Cheltenham. After one mile, and passing through pedestrian lights, you will reach traffic lights at a crossroad junction, go straight over and the hotel is the fourth property on your right.

Turn left down Montpellier Walk, which leads into Promenade. Walk down the Promenade past the shops and over the pedestrianised section at Cavendish House, and follow the high street around to your right. Take the first left after Boots and cross the road to reach Portland Street, with Central Hotel on your right.
