By car: Take the M55 sign posted to Blackpool. At the end of the motorway join the A5230 onto Yeadon way. Follow the signs for Blackpool Town Centre then head for the Promenade. Proceed along the seafront until you pass the Tower and reach the North Pier, we are the hotel situated on the left. By Train: We are approximately a 10 minute walk from the train station, there is however a taxi rank situated outside the train station. By Coach: We are approximately 2 miles from the coach park.

Claremont Hotel - Hotel - Area information

The Claremont is conveniently located just north of the town centre, within easy walking distance of the Tower, North and Central Piers and the bars and restaurants of Blackpool. There is a regular bus and tram service from opposite the hotel heading north to Bispham, Cleveleys and Fleetwood, or south to the Sandcastle, Pleasure beach and South Pier. For your convenience you can purchase your travel card from the hotel's reception.

By Car: - Follow the M55 towards Blackpool; at the end of the motorway you will come to a roundabout. - Continue straight over onto Yeadon Way and continue across the 1st mini roundabout and past the Yeadon Way pub (on your left). - At the 2nd mini roundabout turn right and at the 3rd mini roundabout bear left and continue to the junction and turn left onto Waterloo Road. - Heading down Waterloo Road, go straight across the traffic lights and continue until you reach the 2nd set of traffic lights. - At these lights, turn right onto the promenade with the sea on the left. - Continue along the promenade past the Central and North Pier. - The Claremont Hotel is on the seafront about a minute’s drive past the North Pier, on the right-hand side of the Promenade.

Pleasure Beach (6 km / 4 miles) - The Pleasure Beach has 145 rides for all ages. Recommended rides include indoor dark water ride Valhalla , twin track coaster The Grand National and The Ghost Train. New for 2007 is the Infusion roller coaster. Entrance is free and unlimited ride wristbands can be purchased from their website or at the park. Blackpool Zoo (3 km / 1.5 miles) - Blackpool Zoo is an excellent family day out and is located opposite Blackpool's main park, Stanley Park. Tickets can be purchased at the Zoo. Illuminations (0 km / 0 miles) - The illuminations are 9.6 km (6 miles) of lights that run along the promenade. Make sure you see the showpiece tableaux displays in the North Shore area. The 2008 illuminations run from 29 August to 02 November. This is a free attraction.

By Car: - Go to the very end of the M55 motorway (do not take the North Shore Exit). - At the end of the motorway, go into the far right line and go straight across the first roundabout (has modern statue in middle). - Continue down the 'walled' road and go straight across the first mini roundabout. - Go past the main car parks, the large Blackpool statues and Blackpool FC. - At the car park exit, turn left (you cannot go right), then left again towards the promenade at Coral Island. - At the promenade traffic lights, go right. - Go along the promenade, passing the Tower, Hilton and Imperial Hotel until you come to the large Gynn Roundabout. - Proceed across the roundabout, staying on the promenade, and turn up before the Savoy Hotel onto Willshaw Road.

By Road: m6 North or Southbound Junction 32 (m55), m55 West to Junction 4 (a583) At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit (a583) following signs for Town Centre, North Shore and Promenade, Turn right on the Promenade, 1 km past North Pier. By Air: Charter flights into Blackpool Airport can be arranged from anywhere in Britain via Ryan Air and Jet 2. Manchester Airport is only 100 km south of Blackpool and has daily flights to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Birmingham, Newcastle, Belfast and London Gatwick. By Rail: Blackpool North Station is only 1 km from The Bedford Hotel. Regular trains to and from Preston take just half an hour. Tram and Bus Stops outside the Hotel for your convenience.

By Road: From the m55 take the junction 4 turn off up the slip road. Turn right at the roundabout; this is the a583. Continue for about 2 miles through four sets of traffic lights. By Public Transport: From the railway station or coach park we suggest using a taxi to reach us.
