The hotel is situated on the North Promenade which is the quieter area of town, but near enough to walk to the North Pier, Tower, Coral Island, Winter Gardens and Sea Life Centre. The trams stop directly outside and will take you to the Pleasure Beach in 15 minutes.

From the M55 motorway: - Continue for the Promenade (clearly signposted), past the Tower and North Pier (with the sea on your left). - We are half a mile north of North Pier. From North Pier you'll pass the Metropole Hotel on your left, the Revills and Royal York. We are situated between the Royal York and Tiffanys (big pink one). - Pull into the car park and give us a wave to help you with your bags. By train: A taxi ride from the train station takes a few minutes. Walking: - As you leave the platform, turn right and exit the train station via the smaller exit by the parcels office. - This brings you onto Dickson Road. Keep walking till you see a cafe named Xanders. - Turn left onto the Promenade then right past Manhattan & Royal York Hotel. We are situated 2 hotels past Royal York. By coach: National Express coach services operate to and from Blackpool throughout the year. From Lonsdale Road coach park (South Shore): - Make your way to the promenade and catch a tram north. - Exit the tram at the Claremont Hotel. - Alternatively, you can take a taxi. Talbot Road bus station is next to the train station. Follow directions above. Blackpool Airport is about 6 miles away, from where you can take a taxi.

Additional Parking Information: The car park holds 7 vehicles and the spaces are allocated on a first-to-arrive basis. During busier times, when the car park is full, there is free street parking nearby on a well-lit main road. There are also 3 public car parks, 100 metres from the hotel. Group Bookings. As a family hotel, the Rockcliffe does not accept same-sex group bookings. The hotel reserves the right to refuse admission to accommodation or to refuse the request for a refund should it be known or disclosed that a group of this nature is using the hotel. Family Room Note: Family room prices are based on 2 adults and 1 child, aged 13 and under, sharing the same room. There will be a surcharge if occupied by 3 adults.

All of the hotel’s rooms are comfortably furnished and well equipped with all the facilities you need for a relaxing holiday. Most rooms have private en suite facilities with a bath and a shower, but some rooms with walk-in showers are available on request, subject to availability. Hair dryers are available from reception for a small deposit. Wake-up calls and newspapers are available from reception on request. Rooms with sea views are available only on request and are subject to availability. Sea view rooms are available at an additional cost, which is payable directly to the hotel. From May 2008, some smoking bedrooms are available on the third and fourth floor only. These rooms are limited and are subject to availability. Please request at the time of booking. All other bedrooms and public areas remain strictly non-smoking.

The Viking hotel is situated in the heart of Blackpool's busy South Promenade. It is a short stroll from the many shops and markets of Waterloo Road, where you can pick up a bargain or do some early Christmas shopping. South Pier and Sandcastle Waterworld are almost opposite, while the Pleasure beach is a 15 minute stroll away. Regular trams and buses run along the promenade taking you to attractions further afield such as St Annes and Fleetwood.
