By Plane: Blackpool international airport is 1.5 miles away from the hotel. By Train: Blackpool Pleasure Beach station is 0.2 miles away. By Tram: The nearest tram stop is approximately 100 metres from the hotel. By Road: From the M6: - Take the M55 to the very end (junction 4). - Follow the signs for Blackpool Airport and continue to the seafront. - Turn right towards the tower and after about 1 mile you will notice a large mirror ball on the promenade. - Almost immediately at this point there are 2 turnings on the right. - Take the 2nd of these into Bourne Crescent. - The Waldorf is situated at the centre of the crescent, overlooking the promenade.

All rooms in the hotel are strictly non-smoking. Persons smoking in the room will incur a GBP 50 per night charge which will be applied directly to the credit or debit card used to make the reservation and asked to vacate the hotel - No refunds will be given. By Car: - Exit the M55 at junction 4, taking the 3rd turning at the roundabout (A585 North Shore). - Continue through 2 sets of lights (last one has KFC/McDonald's/Pizza Hut on left). - At the next lights turn right (signed Zoo, Hospital and Illuminations Traffic). - Continue for 1.5 miles past the hospital and at next roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the dual carriageway. - Continue for about one mile (over 2 roundabouts), through traffic lights and over a railway bridge. - At the next lights turn left (Warbreck Hill Road) and continue for 0.75 miles (over a roundabout) until you reach promenade at Gynn Square (roundabout with illuminations lightening tree). - Turn right onto promenade and Empress Drive is the 3rd turning on right. The Palms is 50 yards on left. By Train/Bus/Plane: A taxi is the best way to reach us from the stations and airport. Call the hotel directly to arrange a ride with the local firm.

By Car: - Follow signs for the central car parks at the end of the M55 and exit at Central Drive. - Turn left onto Central Drive and follow the road round at McDonald's, which will take you onto Albert Road. - The hotel is located past the traffic lights, on the right-hand side. By Train: Regular train services run to Blackpool North station, which is only about 600 metres away. Taxis are also available. By Air: - Blackpool International Airport is around 6.4 kilometres (4 miles) away. A taxi will take around 10 minutes. - Manchester airport is approximately a 55 minute drive and Liverpool's John Lennon Airport is 60 minutes away.

By Train - (Blackpool North). Leave the main arrival concourse from the right hand exit onto Springfield Road. Lord Street is the second street on the right. We are approx 25 yards down on the left. By Car - Leave the M6 at J32 (M55). At the end of the M55 is a roundabout. Take the 1st exit. After another 50 yards there is another roundabout - take the 3rd exit. Follow dual carriageway for approx 3 miles to the seafront. Turn right at the final set of traffic lights. Follow coast road (sea on your left) past South, Central & North Piers. Go past the Metropol Hotel (on your left) and turn immediately right into Bank Street. After 50 yards there is a crossroads - go straight over. After 25 yards another crossroads - turn right into Lord Street. The hotel is approx 25 yards down on the right.

Directly opposite central pier, turn into Chapel Street, and drive to traffic lights at end of road. Turn right at the T-junction, then immediately left into Palatine Road. We are approximately 350 yards on the right hand side. Secure parking can be arranged (terms apply).

100 % non-refundable deposit of the first night is required to secure the booking, unless the charges are less (i.e. one night), then the full amount is required as the deposit. This will be taken on receipt of booking with a charge of 1.50 GBP taken on each card transaction. Balance of payment due on arrival - cash or credit/debit card only. Minimum of 2 nights booking required for bank holidays and also weekends during the Illuminations 1 September – 5 November 2007 and Christmas and New Year. All rooms have shared Bathrooms.

Situated opposite the hotel, Blackpool’s South Pier was opened in 1893 and today houses an amusement complex with fairground rides. Just a short walk away from the hotel is the world famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach. This popular amusement park has a mixture of traditional wooden rides, modern steel roller-coasters, small family rides, highly-advanced thrill rides and generations-old rides still in original working order. Entrance to this popular attraction is free; you just pay for the rides that you go on. Also within walking distance from the hotel is Blackpool Pleasure Beach railway station, providing regular train connections to and from Blackpool and Preston.

By Car (from the M6): - Exit the M6at junction 32 and proceed onto the M55. - Stay on the M55 for about 14 miles and exit at junction 4 (A5230). - Stay on the dual carriageway following signs for South Shore and turn right at the T-junction. - Join the promenade and bear right at the 1st pier into Station Road and the hotel is located on the left hand side. Parking: To be guaranteed a parking space, we have recently negotiated parking with a secure lock up facility 150 yards from our hotel. You can make a reservation to park when booking (at an additional cost).

The Danescourt - Hotel - Important information

The hotel requires that all bookings are confirmed when a deposit (non-refundable) of GBP 20 per person has been paid, this deposit will be taken from your credit card. No single sex parties are accepted. The hotel is strictly non-smoking indoors. All credit and debit cards are subject to a surcharge of 3% by the hotel to cover bank charges. A minimum stay of 2 nights is required during public holiday weekends and also during the Illuminations.

The Colwyn Hotel is situated on the seafront at the New South Promenade at Blackpool. It is a much quieter part of Blackpool away from all the hustle and bustle of the town. Despite this, it is only a short tram, bus ride or taxi ride from all the nightlife, casinos and clubs. The famous Blackpool Pleasure Beach fun park is less than a 100 metres from the front door.

The Colwyn Hotel (nr Pleasure Beach) - Hotel - Travel information

By Car: - Take the M55 (from the M6) towards Blackpool. - At the end of the motorway, turn left towards Blackpool Airport. - Keep going past the airport, which should be on your left, until you meet the seafront. - Turn right onto the Promenade. Look out for the hotel on the right-hand side, about 800 metres along. The Colwyn is a corner property with a large car park at the front.
