Toll Bridge Rd, Batheaston Bath - Hotels in Bath

'Bath's most beautifully located hotel, by the River Avon with lovely gardens & stunning views over the countryside'. The Old Mill is located on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907. Since then it has been developed into an attractive hotel with lovely bedrooms, all en suite, banqueting suites and a delightful restaurant by the river with a unique waterwheel feature. The banqueting rooms, restaurant and bars have stunning views of the River Avon and the beautiful countryside surrounding it. The picture is completed by the pretty hotel gardens, alongside the river, which is popular with rowers, boating enthusiasts and for fishing holidays. The current owners, two very experienced hoteliers and restaurateurs acquired The Old Mill in April 1998. Since then they have completed an extensive refurbishment programme, resulting in all bedrooms, banqueting rooms and the restaurant and bar, being totally redecorated and refurbished. Please note that the hotel has no lift.

The Waterwheel Restaurant is surrounded by sliding glass windows leading out onto the lovely gardens. The gardens have picturesque views of the river and the surrounding countryside and are beautifully illuminated in the evening. The restaurant takes its name from the unique working waterwheel, which is another attractive feature. However, the most important aspect of any restaurant is the quality of the food and the service, and we are justifiably proud of both in the waterwheel. Our menu is based on the principles of using quality raw materials, freshly cooked and attractively presented. There is a wide selection of dishes to choose from, including fresh fish, grills, vegetarian items and dishes with a Mediterranean influence. In addition to the extensive à la carte menu, there is also a 3-course fixed price menu, offering plenty of choice. These fixed price menus offer exceptional value for money, as do the individually priced dishes on the à la carte menu. In addition to dinner being served every evening of the week, the Waterwheel Restaurant is open for lunch on Sunday, when a special 3-course fixed price menu is available, offering plenty of options for each course, including a choice of 3 different roasts. Manvers St Bath - Hotels in Bath

In the beautiful historic centre of Bath, this attractive traditional Georgian-style hotel offers a friendly and informal atmosphere within walking distance of all of the city’s leading attractions. Famous for its beautiful Georgian architecture, Bath is the only city in England to be classified by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The hotel was designed by the famous engineer and architect, Isambard Kingdom Brunel, in the 19th century. Brunel deliberately mirrored the city’s architecture in the hotel’s grand Georgian-style exterior. The hotel has been providing traditional British hospitality for over 150 years and today it offers comfortable, cosy accommodation, making it the ideal base for a short city break. The owners are committed to continually improving both the physical aspects of the hotel and the standards of service, food and hospitality to ensure that you have a comfortable and enjoyable visit.
X

Royal Hotel - Hotel - Hotel information

Brunel, the famous English architect of the time, designed the hotel for the arrival of the railway in Victorian times. The Royal prefix was bestowed upon the hotel as a reminder of Queen Victoria's visit to the city of Bath. The hotel was originally named the Royal Station Hotel and commenced trading in 1846. In 1852, because of the growing influence of rail travel and the hotel’s close proximity to the station, an upper-level footbridge was built, directly linking the first floor of the hotel with the station platforms for the convenience of hotel guests. This footbridge remained until 1936. The Royal has changed ownership a number of times during its 150-year history and in March 1995, The PR Inns partnership acquired the business. PR is a small private company, wholly owned by its two partners who are highly experienced hoteliers and restaurateurs.
