This family-run budget Boreland Lodge Hotel is conveniently located close to Edinburgh and next to the Forth Road Bridge and the Forth Rail Bridge; Roysth is only a few minutes away.
The Boreland Lodge Hotel is close to the ferry terminal and is only 500 metres or so from Inverkeithing station. A bus runs regularly between the station and Edinburgh Airport. Trains also run frequently to the city of Edinburgh itself. Kinross is only 20 minutes away, making the Boreland Lodge Hotel a great base for those attending the T in the Park music festival.
As reflected in the price, the hotel’s rooms are not large. However, all of the rooms are en suite and comfortable.
Free Wi-Fi wireless internet access is available in the hotel’s public areas and there is a large car park, in which guests are welcome to leave their cars while on holiday.

The rooms all have an en suite shower room and WC. The Boreland has recently upgraded many of the rooms and, although some are small, they are very comfortable and clean.

Area information
An excellent base from which to explore Scotland and Edinburgh, the Boreland Lodge Hotel is located 2 miles from Roysth and only 5 minutes' drive from Deep Sea World. A 30 minute drive will bring you to the site of T in the Park Festival, held in July.
Just 300 yards from Inverkeithing railway station, all cities and tourist attractions are easily reached in minutes. Edinburgh city centre is just 15 minutes away (approximately).
There are several golf courses nearby, or you could enjoy sailing at Port Edgar. Dunfermline is not far away and many other locations are also within easy reach.
Travel information
By Rail:
There is a frequent rail service, every 15 minutes, between Inverkeithing and Edinburgh's Waverley Station. The journey is approximately 30-45 minutes from platform to platform. When you come off of the train, come out of the exit with the train tracks on your left. When you get to the top of the road, turn left to Boreland Road. Boreland Lodge is situated around 360 metres (400 yards) on your right.
By Road:
- Inverkeithing is served by the M90/A90, which goes directly into Edinburgh via the Forth Road Bridge.
- The Road Bridge operates a toll when travelling North. The journey time is about 15 minutes, but is subject to traffic density and time of day.
- After crossing the bridge, take the 1st exit and proceed to Inverkeithing as you come through the centre.
- There are 2 mini-roundabouts after crossing the last one.
- Approximately 180 metres (200 yards) on, turn right into Boreland Road.
- The is around 180 metres (400 yards) on the right.
By Bus:
There is an Edinburgh Airport bus to and from Inverkeithing Station. It runs every 15-30 minutes, up to 23.10. Journey time is about 25 minutes. Please note the bus stops at Inverkeithing Station, which is only 400 yards from the hotel, on the right.

Your room will be kept until 10pm after that it will be given away so please telephone ahead if you are going to be late. We reserve the right to cancel any bookings of male or female groups, I.E. stag parties etc, if not cleared with Boreland Lodge Hotel prior to booking.
